6th Gulf Obesity & Metabolic Surgery Society Conference
The 6th Annual GOSS Conference will be held from December 05 – 07, 2019 in the Sultanate of Oman.
Since this region is home to countries with the highest prevalence of obesity worldwide, type 2 diabetes and an increasing number of bariatric/metabolic procedures, this conference creates a premier opportunity to unite the leaders in the field and provide a platform to engage multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to tackle the growing burden of obesity from different perspectives and novel innovative approaches. It will reflect the mission of GOSS to unite and educate against adiposity and metabolic disorders. While obesity itself is considered a debilitating condition, major studies have correlated obesity with the development of chronic metabolic disorders such as diabetes mellitus, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, sleep apnea depression, impaired functional status, gastro-oesophagal reflux disorder and liver disease.
The Scientific Organizing Committee is assembling a scientific programme that will benefit all participants at our conference from around the world and our region. They have put together an excellent scientific meeting and we look forward to your abstracts. With a wide range of experts active in the field of bariatric metabolic surgery, we aim to create an opportunity that will bring to every participant unforgettable professional as well as personal experience.
